Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Responsible for the duties of the histology laboratory. Duties include logging in, labeling and processing specimens, embedding, paraffin microtomy, cryostat microtomy, non-gynecological specimen processing, staining of slides, performing special stains and performing gross description of small biopsies according to protocol.  Assist in other areas of the laboratory, as needed.

EDUCATION: 

1. Associates Degree, HT

2. Bachelors Degree, HTL 

3. MLS (ASCP) with successful completion of Histotechnology training course and HTL (ASCP) certification within two years of hire.

EXPERIENCE: 

6 months.
