Our Staff

We are a group that likes to have fun. You might find us running a 120-mile Ragnar Trail race, rock climbing in Bolton, kayaking on the Green River Reservoir, hiking on the Long Trail, apple picking at a local orchard, or sampling wine and homemade macaroons.

Going the Extra Mile

We offer a running/gait analysis clinic that is free to the community four times a year. This clinic draws in people that are just starting to run that are looking for some direction, avid recreational runners as well as competitive runners. We video tape the runners from all angles and then play back the video in slow motion while we explain what we are seeing. This explanation may include a footwear recommendation, a stretch or exercise to decrease aches and pains, or feedback about ideal form to avoid injuries.

Susan Stephen, PT works with Candace Brown on the AlterGWe are the only hospital in the state of VT that can host these clinics using an AlterG treadmill. This anti-gravity treadmill allows the user to walk or run with technology that reduces their body weight by up to 80%. One of our therapists, Susan Stephen, was able to use this treadmill while she was visiting her daughter at the US Ski Team training facility. She was so impressed with this treadmill and what it could do for our patients, that she wrote a request to the hospital asking if they could provide the funding for this treadmill, which they did.
