Brings 30 Years of Health Care IT Experience, Epic Implementation Work to Role

Burlington, Vt. – The University of Vermont Health Network has appointed Lori Boisjoli as its new Network Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Boisjoli has been with the UVM Health Network since 2017, serving as Network Vice President, IT Application Portfolio and Project Management Office, and has been responsible for the deployment and oversight of more than 500 IT applications vital to patient care. She has also been instrumental in the implementation of Epic, the Network’s electronic health record system.

“Lori’s 30 years of health care IT experience, including her extensive work on Network projects including the implementation of Epic, make her the right person to lead our health system’s integrated IT initiatives and infrastructure,” said Sunil Eappen, MD, MBA, President and Chief Executive Officer of the UVM Health Network. “I look forward to working closely with her in this new role.”

Boisjoli will be responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of core IT infrastructure across the UVM Health Network. She will also chair the Network IT steering committee, which oversees the organization’s IT goal-setting process, strategy, budget and escalation.

“I am excited to take this next step with the UVM Health Network, working together with my colleagues to further advance and integrate technology,” Boisjoli said. “This is an opportunity to make meaningful progress and better serve our patients and community.”

Boisjoli will report to Network Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Al Gobeille.

“Over the past few years, we have made great progress standardizing and simplifying our IT operations as we grow together as an integrated health system,” Gobeille said. “Lori’s new role will be central in our ability to continue that integration and provide our patients with high-quality care.”
