Coronavirus Update: We have halted walk-in hours
With the first confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in Vermont, Pediatric Primary Care is taking extra precautions to minimize any potential spread of the disease.
At Central Vermont Medical Center, we offer a variety of services to keep your children healthy. We encourage all children to have a primary care provider and to schedule regular well-child check-ups.
- Well-Child Care of Newborns, Infants and Children
- Sports, Camp and School Physicals
- Management of Acute and Chronic Illnesses
- On-site Lab Testing
- Inpatient Hospital Treatment
- Coordination of Care with Specialty Physicians
We believe that the best way to keep your child healthy is through regular well-child check-ups. It is during these office visits that we evaluate your child's growth and development, check hearing, vision and speech, promote good safety habits and injury prevention, discuss anticipated changes in your child's development and behavior, evaluate school readiness, prevent illness with immunizations, and explore questions or concerns you may have had about your child's health, growth, development or behavior.
Regular visits should occur at the following stages:
- 2 weeks
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 12 months
- 18 months
- 24 months/2 years
- 30 months
- 36 months/3 years
- Every year after age 3
Some children will need to be seen more or less frequently than these recommendations. If you feel that your child needs a schedule that differs from the one above, please discuss this with us.
