Foot and Ankle Treatment Options
At your appointment, your physician will conduct a comprehensive evaluation. This often includes diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, which we perform on-site.
Then, your doctor will discuss your treatment options with you. Sometimes, your treatment might require other medical services from different departments. If so, rest assured that we will coordinate your care.
We provide a variety of services, including:
- Aspiration or injection
- Casting or splinting
- Pain management
- Physical therapy
- Surgery
Arthritis
For mild to moderate arthritis of the ankle, you might be a candidate for ankle arthroscopy, in which our surgeons will shave the painful bone spur(s) around the ankle joint. If you have more advanced ankle arthritis, you may need ankle fusion surgery, which removes the worn out portion of the joint and fuses the bones together in a solid position.
