Helen's professional career has always focused on preventing injury and getting people back to the activities they love. She began as an athletic trainer, supporting Vermont's high school and college teams. Then, as a research assistant at the UVM McClure Musculoskeletal Research Center, where she studied the science behind sports injuries, developing screening tools to help clinicians and athletic trainers.
As a physician assistant, Helen is deeply invested in Central Vermont and supporting her patients' goals, whether on the field or off. She is an avid mountain biker, road cyclist lifelong learner, outdoor enthusiast and Nordic skier. She also proudly volunteers with the Little Bellas, a mountain bike mentoring program for girls.
Helen earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, a Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Vermont, and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at the University of Vermont.
