Covid-19 Updates and Information

Learn how to stay healthy and help slow the spread of Covid-19.

FEELING UNWELL?

Remember, most cases of the flu or Covid-19 will be mild. Unless it is an emergency, ​if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms (see list at left), please stay at home and call your primary care provider.

Before visiting any of our locations, please call ahead whenever possible.

Vaccine Information

Covid-19 vaccines are free and widely available. Anyone can get vaccinated in Vermont, including those who live in another state, are non-U.S. citizens, or who have no insurance.

Surgical Masks Required

CVMC requires staff, patients, and visitors to wear surgical masks within our facilities. Don't have a surgical mask? We'll provide one on arrival.

Visitation Restricted

We have made temporary changes to our visitation policy to protect the health of our employees, patients, and nursing home residents. Before coming to CVMC, click here to review the most up-to-date hours and visitation policies.

Covid-19 Symptoms

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people with these symptoms may have Covid-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Covid-19 Testing

As of June 25, 2022, Vermont has closed state-run testing sites.

Take-home tests will continue are widely available at pharmacies around the state and may be covered by health insurance. If you are covered, you can show your insurance card at the pharmacy counter and get your test kits at no cost to you.

Telemedicine and Video Visits

Many routine appointments can be performed using telehealth technologies (video or telephone). Using these technologies reduces traffic in our facilities and helps to slow the spread of Covid-19. Learn more about our telehealth offerings here, or contact your practice to determine if your need can be met in this way.
