Connie is a registered nurse specializing in diabetes education. She had Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department experience prior to transitioning to education. She loves the teaching aspect of her role as a diabetes educator. She enjoys the math and science of making insulin adjustments and using the technology of insulin pumps and sensors. She finds her position very rewarding when persons with diabetes can state that they feel better and she has taken part in improving their quality of life.

Connie is currently working in collaboration with our Endocrinology medical group practice and with Dr. Kevin McNamara in the Diabetes Foot Clinic at Central Vermont Medical Center.
Her position description also requires the responsibility for staff education on diabetes. It is Connie’s personal mission to keep nurses, physicians, anesthesia and other ancillary staff up to date with the latest in diabetes care based on best practice guidelines.
