Biographical Information

Nicholas Phillips, MD earned his medical degree at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine in 2014. Subsequently, he completed a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Neurophysiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Before attending medical school, Dr. Phillips attained a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (San Diego, CA) and Five Branches Institute (Santa Cruz, CA) in 2002. He received an Advanced Clinical & Academic Training in Acupuncture & Herbology from Chengdu University of TCM (Chengdu, Sichuan, China). His bachelor of science in Exercise and Health Science, with a concentration in sports medicine, was earned at Alma College (Alma, MI). Dr. Phillips also took part in an International Sports Medicine Internship with sports physical therapists at a French Olympic training facility.

As a neurologist, Dr. Phillips specializes in EMG/nerve conduction testing, EEG, and using botulinum toxin to treat migraines, spasticity, dystonia, heimfacial spasm and blepharospasm.

Dr. Phillips believes a collaborative and communicative approach to patient care is the best way to help an individual navigate the complicated medical system and find the help they need. He is eager to help guide the central Vermont community through their neurologic care.
