Samuel Potter, MD grew up in Scotland and came to the United States to attend university in Rochester, NY. In between his undergraduate degree and medical school, he spent a year in Thetford, Vermont.
Dr. Potter comes to CVMC from Maine Medical Center, where he was a chief resident in the Emergency Department.
"I believe that an open and honest connection between patients and their provider is the most effective way of empowering patients in healthcare," said Dr. Potter. "It's particularly important in the Emergency Department, and is an aspect of my job that I look forward to every day."
In his spare time, Dr. Potter enjoys the sports he grew up playing: golf, squash, and rugby. He and his wife now live in Calais.
