Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists (OT) are licensed health care professionals who evaluate and treat people with physical, cognitive, sensory, visual, motor and/or psychological disabilities. Occupational Therapists help patients master the skills needed for self-care, work and play. Treatment may include therapeutic methods, applied and assistive technology, and environmental modifications.

Our Outpatient Services

Each occupational therapy session focuses on how an individual's cognitive impairments affect their ability to independently complete daily activities. The therapist leads the client through real world activities to promote strategies, accommodations and/or adaptions in cooking, dressing and home making tasks. As appropriate for each client, the therapist may also work on independent skills necessary for community living such as money management, meal planning and accessing transportation.
